“It’s Friday” and once again it’s Gridlock on the Roads around Penrith

Traffic around Penrith is gridlocked with traffic on the M6 between J40 and 41 a standstill for traffic exiting the M6 at J40 as it meets queuing traffic on the A66 between Kemplay roundabout and J40 and between Rheged and J40.

Traffic on the A6 through Penrith is also facing light delays through parts of the town as is traffic on the A6 heading onto Kemplay from Eamont Bridge.

Drivers are facing delays of 20-30 minutes currently on the M6 exiting onto J40.
